CHIME launching ‘Coffee with CHIME’ on Facebook Live: Be among the first to participate in CHIME’s latest service, Coffee with CHIME on Facebook Live, set to launch at 8 a.m. EST today (Feb. 1). It is our way to bring members CHIME news and information in a quick and easy format, with dedicated time to engage members and answer questions. Can’t catch it live? Boot camp scholarship deadline is Feb. 9: The CHIME Education Foundation is making scholarships available to CHIME members to attend the CHIME Healthcare CIO Boot Camp on April 7-10 in Chicago. Leading CIOs will teach boot camp participants using presentations, small group discussions, case studies and interactive problem-solving. Scholarship applications are due Feb. 9. To apply, go here. Use Focus Groups at Vegas to earn CEUs: CHIME members who plan to be in Las Vegas March 6-8 have an opportunity to learn more about the industry and earn CEUs at the same time. They need not attend either the 2018 CHIME-HIMSS CIO Forum on March 4-5 or the HIMSS18 conference that follows to participate in CHIME Focus Groups. Participants will engage in high-level discussions with fellow CIOs and hear what Foundation firms’ current initiatives are and how they are managing them. Participants can earn 1.5 CEUs toward Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) accreditation and will qualify for an honorarium. With 14 sessions being offered, that’s up to 21 credits and $2,500. CHIME CMIO Leadership Academy is May 18-20: If you are a CMIO looking to enhance your career, mark your calendar for May 18-20. The CHIME CMIO Leadership Academy will kick off May 18 at the Renaissance Chicago O’Hare Suites with an orientation, case study and reception followed by two days of presentations, small group discussions, case study analysis, progressive problem solving and personal mentoring. The CHIME CMIO Leadership Academy is an advanced, executive immersion program designed primarily for physicians currently in a CMIO or associate CMIO role seeking to advance their career.
