Education Foundation Offers Scholarships, but Act Soon
6.07.2018 Myra Davis – CHIME Education Foundation Board Chair, Senior VP & CIO, Texas Children’s Hospital |
Members needn’t let budget constraints prevent them from attending the 2018 CHIME Fall CIO Forum or the CHIME Healthcare CIO Boot Camp that precedes it. The CHIME Education Foundation is offering more than 30 scholarships for these events, with applications due on June 22.
The Education Foundation has greatly increased the number of scholarships awarded to CHIME members and their direct reports to attend educational events. The Education Foundation provided 89 scholarships worth a total of $262,440 for CHIME forums, CIO Boot Camps, John Glaser, Rich Correll, Stoltenberg 25-year Future Fund and CMIO Leadership Academies in 2017. That is 21 more scholarships than were given in 2016.
We are encouraging members who may need financial support this year to check out our scholarship opportunities. But start soon; the deadline is only a few weeks away.
Here is a look at what is available:
CHIME Fall CIO Forum Scholarship
The CIO Forum Scholarship was created to promote leadership education and development for IT professionals in the healthcare industry. Funded by a generous multi-year donation by Epic Systems, the scholarship will provide funding for a CHIME member to attend the Fall CIO Forum. Eligibility: Current CHIME members
