CHIME’s 2021 Digital Health Most Wired Survey Is Open for Participation
ANN ARBOR, MI, April 14, 2021 – The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) opened the 2021 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey today. The survey and recognition program are the industry-leading standard for the use of digital technology to advance health and care worldwide.
“We fully expect participation will be even more phenomenal this year,” said CHIME President and CEO Russell P. Branzell. “Despite the pandemic, we had more than 30,000 facilities represented in 2020 – which is almost double 2019’s total. If this past year has taught us anything, it is that global needs and expectations for improved performance in healthcare only continue to grow. Participants value this opportunity to share best practices that contribute to collaborative transformation across the industry.”
Under CHIME, Digital Health Most Wired has expanded to include surveys for domestic, international, ambulatory and long-term care organizations. The program added a certification process in 2019, with participants reaching Levels 7-10 receiving recognition for their performance. Last year, eight participating organizations qualified for Level 10, the highest category. The survey is reviewed and incrementally updated each year to capture current best practices.
“The Digital Health Most Wired program has become the gold standard for advancing health and care globally with technology,” said Bill Spooner, chair of the Digital Health Most Wired Governing Board and retired Sharp HealthCare CIO. “It’s a catalyst for industry assessment and improvement. We keep raising the bar and participants continue to strive to meet and exceed definitions for excellence in health and care.”
Each organization that completes the 2021 survey will be notified about their certification status and will receive a customized benchmarking report with an unbiased assessment to identify their strengths and gaps. In the fall, CHIME will publish and distribute an industry trends report based on survey data. Participants that earn Level 7-10 certification will be recognized in a special edition publication, with top-tier recipients honored during the CHIME21 Fall Forum, scheduled for Oct. 27-30 in San Diego. Calif.
