CHIME committees develop and manage many programs and initiatives that advance the organization’s mission and success. These participating industry leaders are responsible for the tactical direction and activities that provide value to our members in areas like education, certification, recognition, public policy and membership.

Welcome/Onboarding Committee
Committee member responsibilities:
- Part of the onboarding process
- Direct outreach to new members
- Quarterly check-ins with new members

Member Engagement Committee
Committee member responsibilities:
- Review engagement opportunities
- Outreach team to non-engage members
- Communicates/encourages members to participate

Foundation Education Committee
Assists with planning educational events for CHIME Foundation members based on input solicited from membership base and committee input/guidance.
Committee member responsibilities:
- Identify current industry topics, trends and challenges that will shape the program agenda/topics
- Identify and evaluate keynote and CHIME member speaker candidates
- Assist with the promotion of the event amongst CHIME Foundation firms

CHIME Foundation Mentor Program
Assists CHIME Foundation firms with their benefits utilization.
Liaison responsibilities:
- Understand the basics of the CHIME Foundation (firms, benefits, impact/importance)
- Serve as an educational/informational resource for one to two CHIME Foundation firms
- Understand CIO focus group best practices
- Provide Fall CIO Forum track session proposal guidance
- Advise College LIVE topics/presentations
- Participate in quarterly calls/emails with assigned Foundation firm(s)
- Commit to the program for one calendar year, with an option to continue service each year

Track Session Subcommittee
(CHIME provider members only. Foundation representatives are not eligible to participate.)
Committee member responsibilities:
- The Track Session Subcommittee will have an initial meeting to discuss and finalize Track Session topics and overall process. They will not meet again until the call is closed (mid-April), at which point the group will convene to discuss the review process. The group will participate in the review process and then will meet for the last time to select Track Sessions (late May).

Membership Review Committee
Engages current and potential members of CHIME.

Public Policy Steering Committee
Discusses timely policy issues and helps shape CHIME’s responses to congressional and regulatory inquiries.
Committee member responsibilities:
- Review proposed regulations impacting healthcare IT and assist in developing responses to federal agencies
- Review legislation and assist in developing CHIME’s response to congressional committees
- Provide direction on CHIME’s overall advocacy efforts
- Facilitate communication between CHIME and industry regluatory bodies during policy review

Scholarship Committee
Reviews scholarship applications and selects winners.
Committee member responsibilities:
- Understand the current scholarship criteria and requirements for each of the available scholarships
- Contribute to the development of the scholarship application review process
- Participate in quarterly committee calls
- Spread the CHIME Education Foundation mission and vision at appropriate speaking engagements
- Assist in the development of potential new scholarship funds
- Review and rank CHIME Education Foundation scholarships
- Provide recommendation on scholarship recipients to the CHIME Education Foundation Board

CHIME Diversity & Inclusion Committee
Works to connect members around Diversity and Inclusion issues and to identify best practices in the healthcare IT space.
Committee member responsibilities:
- Survey CHIME members and Foundation firms to establish benchmarks in Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and practices in provider and vendor organizations
- Identify current industry gaps and challenges
- Curate and disseminate best practices to be shared amongst the CHIME membership base

CHIME Content Committee
Committee member responsibilities:
- Provides guidance on hot industry topics
- Refreshes list and direction on topics for webinars and focus groups

Committee participation qualifies for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards the CHIME Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) Program. CHIME members and Affiliates may claim CEUs by entering them into the CHIME Continuing Education Credits form here.
