CHIME is excited to debut its CHIME Advocacy Summit, taking place October 3-5, in Washington D.C. The CHIME Advocacy Summit will bring together leading policy makers with healthcare IT’s top thought leaders to discuss the most pressing, current, public policy challenges and opportunities.
The summit is a perfect venue for members to gather and learn more about the seismic changes being proposed and ushered in through federal policies and legislation. Thanks to the strong relationships CHIME and the Policy Steering Committee have developed in D.C., the summit will feature leading administrators from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and other key organization. CHIME members who are active in public policy, will also be in attendance. This inaugural event will focus on the four 2018 priorities, identified by members: cybersecurity, interoperability, the opioid epidemic and telehealth.
Over the course of our time together we’ll hear from key leaders including:
- Kate Goodrich, M.D., director, Center for Clinical Standards and Quality, Chief Medical Officer at CMS;
- Elise Sweeney Anthony, J.D., executive director, Office of Policy, ONC;
- Matt Quinn, senior adviser for Health Information Technology, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA); and
- Nicholas Uehlecke, House Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health.
These and other policy and industry leaders will provide insight into relevant and important issues which will equip attendees with the necessary knowledge to thrive in the healthcare IT policy space.
This event is meant to serve all our members and partners alike; CHIME, AEHIS, AEHIT and AEHIA provider members are invited to attend, as are CHIME, AEHIS, AEHIT and AEHIA Foundation members. We hope that you and your policy team will join us in Washington D.C. in early October for what is sure to be an outstanding, first-of-its-kind event for CHIME.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the program. With an inclusive audience, this is a great way to extend your marketing strategies and strengthen your relationships with the CHIME, AEHIS, AEHIT and AEHIA provider members.
