The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Announces New Incoming Board Members and 2024-2025 Board Officers
ANN ARBOR, MI, October 10, 2023 – The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) is thrilled to announce the appointment of three (3) CHIME members and one (1) Foundation member representative to join the CHIME and CHIME Foundation Board of Trustees in January 2024. These esteemed individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to further advance CHIME’s mission of driving innovation and excellence in the field of healthcare information management to improve health and care.
“Collectively, the board members include innovative and influential leaders in the digital health industry and business experts who will provide strategic oversight and bring independent and diverse perspectives to help strengthen CHIME,” said CHIME Board of Trustees Chair, Daniel Nigrin, MD, CHCIO, CDH-E, Chief Information Officer for MaineHealth. “It’s essential to highlight that these elections are member-driven, reflecting CHIME’s commitment to inclusivity and democratic representation. CHIME members had the opportunity to nominate and vote for the individuals they believe best represent their interests through the Board of Trustees,” said Nigrin.
New members appointed to the CHIME Board of Trustees include:
- Saad Chaudhry, M.Sc., M.PM, CHCIO, CDH-E, CDO and CIO at Luminis Health
- Linda Stevenson, MBA, PMP, CHCIO, CDH-E, CIO at Fisher-Titus Medical Center
- Jeffrey Sturman, PMP, CHCIO, CDH-E, SVP and CDO at Memorial Healthcare System
Beginning January 1, 2024, the new CHIME Foundation Board Director is:
- Andrea Daugherty, CISSP, CHCIO, CDH-E, Head of Digital Health, SHI International Corp.
These newly appointed members will join an already distinguished group of healthcare and technology leaders serving on the CHIME Board of Trustees. Their diverse backgrounds and extensive experience will contribute to providing strategic oversight and guidance, ensuring that CHIME remains at the forefront of healthcare information management.
In addition, CHIME is pleased to announce the 2024 and 2025 CHIME Board of Trustees Officers.
Beginning January 1, 2024, the new CHIME Board of Trustees Officers are:
- Scott MacLean (Chairperson) CHCIO, FCHIME, LCHIME, CDH-E, SVP and CIO at MedStar Health
- Aaron Miri (Treasurer) CHCIO, FCHIME, CDH-E, SVP and CDIO at Baptist Health
- D. Sheree McFarland (Secretary) CHCIO, FCHIME, LCHIME, CDH-E and CIO at HCA
Starting January 1, 2025, the new CHIME Board of Trustees Officers will be:
- Tressa Springmann (Chairperson) CHCIO, FCHIME, LCHIME, CDH-E, SVP & CDO and CIO at LifeBridge Health
- Terri Couts (Treasurer) CHCIO, CDH-E, CDO at The Guthrie Clinic
- Daniel Barchi (Secretary) CHCIO, LCHIME, CDH-E, SVP and CIO at CommonSpirit Health
