Dan Strong to Join Health Catalyst as Chief Financial Officer
Veteran Finance Executive Brings Significant Public Company Experience to Healthcare Analytics Firm
Co-Founder Tom Burton Moves to Client Operations; Dale Sanders Appointed Executive Vice President of Product Development
SALT LAKE CITY, UT- August 26, 2015 – Health Catalyst, a leader in healthcare data warehousing, analytics and outcomes improvement, announced the upcoming appointment of Dan Strong as Chief Financial Officer effective October 1, 2015.
Strong has served for over seven years as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Control4 (NASDAQ: CTRL), a leading provider of automation systems for homes and businesses, including playing a central role in Control4’s transition from private to publicly-traded company. He will lead finance for Health Catalyst as the company continues to grow and expand operations to support healthcare transformation. Current Health Catalyst CFO Jeff Selander will become the company’s Chief People Officer, expanding the role he has played for several years leading human resources, infrastructure, and culture.

Strong brings more than 20 years of public company and start-up experience in operations, finance, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Control4, Strong spent five years as the CFO at iBAHN, a leader in hospitality networking. Before iBAHN, he worked for 14 years at Iomega Corporation as vice president of financial planning and analysis, vice president and corporate controller, and interim CFO. Strong has also held executive-level corporate finance positions at Campus Pipeline, Inc., and Pro Image Corp.

Internal Transition Supports Growth of Client Operations and Product Development
In a related move, Health Catalyst Co-Founder and Executive Vice President Tom Burton, currently in charge of product development, will join Co-Founder and Executive Vice President Steve Barlow in leading the company’s client operations organization. Dale Sanders, currently Senior Vice President of Strategy, will assume the role of Executive Vice President of Product Development.

Sanders has been an influential leader in healthcare analytics and data warehousing since his earliest days in the industry, starting at Intermountain Healthcare, where he was a primary architect of the health system’s enterprise data warehouse (EDW) infrastructure and regional director of medical informatics at LDS Hospital. Sanders also served as the CIO of Northwestern University’s physician group and the chief architect of the Northwestern Medical EDW, as well as CIO of the national health system of the Cayman Islands.
